VARIABLE SPEED DRIVE
The VSD enclosures are
designed to start the conveyor,
and the speed of the conveyor
is controlled depending on
the load on the conveyor.
Variable speed drives are
custom designed for 380V,
525V, 690V, 1100V and up to
950Kw applications. For the
design any drive manufacturer
will be used dependant on the
customer preferences.
SOFT STARTER ENCLOSURES
The soft starter enclosure was designed to
start a conveyor without the mechanical fluid
coupling. The Emis Emsoft-1Kv was designed
and developed to withstand the harsh
environments that the South African mining
industry requires. The soft starter has modbus
or profibus on board for communication. All soft
starters are fitted with a bypass contactor this
will reduce the heat built up from the thyristor
being continuously on line and also increase
the life span of the soft starter.
